Volunteers Needed
Hi all,
We are looking for a group of around 10-12 volunteers to help collect information on Bristol's 'Green Heritage' and its current place in the green movement. It is a project based at the Schumacher Institute but working closely with Bristol City Museum. The material that we collect will be used to both raise discussions within a museum setting on the issues surrounding sustainability but also to ensure that Bristol's rich and long history of environmental and social concern is not lost.
It will involve a lot of hands-on work such as talking to those in local communities involved heavily in the green movement but also those who are interested in getting involved and talking to those who have been involved in the past. We want to find out why they think what they do is important and what their views are on different sustainability issues, both local and global. This project will therefore provide the opportunity to learn new skills to document these opinions and views. There will also be space for you to discuss (and document) your own views on these subjects.
If you are interested it would be great to hear from you. We would like your details and for you to explain why you are interested in taking part in helping us, what your particular areas of interests are and any previous experience.
Please get back to me on emmelie_brownlee@hotmail.com. Thanks!
