Oxfam Volunteers - Online Hub Centre - Oxfam Seond-hand Store

Oxfam has set up an Online Hub in Portishead and needs 100+ volunteers to help operate the business. Our goal is to list 40,000 items for sale online. The hub is open every day, including weekends.

The roles include:

Volunteer Administrator
Duties will include administering volunteer application forms, dealing with references, health and safety forms and other general duties. This is a key role which will suit someone who enjoys using IT – word processing and spreadsheets. The role requires someone who is well organised and confident dealing with confidential information.

Volunteer Van Drivers
Duties will include collecting donations from various locations in the area and general warehouse duties. This position will suit someone who had previous experience of van driving. A clean driving licence is required.

Volunteer Product Creators
Duties will include creating detailed and eye-catching online listings of our products that would appeal to buyers for listing on the Oxfam online website as well as on eBay. This position is particularly important in driving the business so would suit someone who can write creative and impressionable listings.

Volunteer Fashion Researchers
Duties will include researching and identifying quality saleable clothing to go on sale on our online shop such as Retro, Vintage and Designer items. Some interest or experience of working in fashion would be useful but not essential.

Volunteer Books Specialists
Duties will include researching and identifying books, both antique and new, to go on sale on our online shop and via Amazon. This role would suit someone with a background or interest in books.

Volunteer Photographers
Duties will include dressing mannequins then taking photographs of clothing and accessories ready to be uploaded onto the website. An interest in photography would be useful but not essential, as training will be provided.

Volunteer Dispatch Controllers
Duties will include picking and packing goods ready for delivery and updating dispatch systems. This position is particularly important to ensure an efficient and smooth running of the orders fulfilment centre. This role is needed mornings only.
