Play Development Worker (maternity cover) - CSV

We are looking for an experienced and innovative playworker to be part of our Out to Play Team based at CSV Environment in south Bristol. The Out to Play Team has a great legacy of developing outdoor play & environmental education projects in the region. This team is an exciting place to be right now, with such topics hitting the news regularly and some great projects to get involved in. Come and make a real difference to children’s lives with us.

You will be co-responsible for the research and development of ‘Puzzle Island’ - a new mobile play experience adaptable to any outdoor space and the expansion of a play resource centre. You will oversee and deliver Play Rangers in south Bristol and be involved in the provision of training to adults and/or volunteers with an interest in play. 

A NVQ Level 3 Play Work teaching qualification or equivalent is required, together with an excellent range of practical skills relevant to outdoor play.  You will need an understanding of health and safety and an awareness of best practice in risk management and child protection. Awareness &/or experience of environmental education is desirable. A CRB disclosure will be required for the successful applicant
