Press and E-Communications Officer - Soil Association

The Soil Association is the UK's leading membership environmental charity campaigning for people and planet-friendly food and farming.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Press and E-Communications Officer to join our busy press team to help us provide a quick and accurate response service for journalists and to develop and deliver our strategy for online communications.

 

You will develop relationships with national, local and specialist media and research, and write and distribute targeted news releases to national, local and specialist media.  You will also proactively explore ways to raise the profile of the Soil Association through the use of web 2.0 technologies and through online-based media, including developing social networking, blogs and other online media presence.

 

With previous experience of dealing with the media, ability to work to frequent deadlines, strong administration and excellent communication skills you will work effectively on your own and as part of a team and have a flexible approach to your work.
